Case Overview

A 28-year-old male patient presented for temporary crown restoration on tooth #47, which had previously received root canal therapy followed by a resin composite restoration. After thorough cleaning and disinfection of the operative field, a silicone impression (HUGE PERFIT Putty) was taken. The tooth was prepared according to standard prosthetic criteria, with margin refinement completed. A2 shade TempFIT Temporary Crown and Bridge Resin material was selected, and the temporary crown for tooth #47 was fabricated immediately at chairside. The restoration successfully restored the anatomical morphology, proximal contact, and occlusal function of the affected tooth. The temporary restoration was removed one week later and replaced with the permanent restoration.

Impression: Precision in Every Detail

Take an impression using Huge PERFIT putty to clearly capture the tooth morphology. Once the impression is taken, trim the silicone material in the interproximal areas to ensure proper seating during temporary crown fabrication.

Provisional: TempFIT Chairside in Action    

After completing abutment preparation and margin refinement, select A2 shade TempFIT Temporary Crown and Bridge Resin and inject it into the impression, keeping the tip submerged in the material. Place the impression in the patient's mouth and allow the resin to set.

Perform extraoral curing after initial polymerization to ensure the temporary crown reaches full hardness, and then polish.

Try in the temporary crown. The temporary crown fits precisely on the abutment.

Cement the temporary crown with temporary cement.

Temporary Restoration Finalized    

At the 1-week follow-up: remove the temporary restoration and inspect the abutment. The abutment is healthy. Seat the permanent restoration to complete treatment.
